If you’re like me you’ve seen a lot of different Disney Flannel shirts all over the Internet where classic Disney quotes are printed on the back of a the shirt. Cakeworthy has a ton of awesome Disney Flannels on their website, which are awesome. If you’re like me you can’t spend $50 on these amazing shirts, so the next best thing is to Do It Yourself!
What You’ll Need
Flannel Shirt
Printed Saying
Exact-O Knife
Fabric Paint
Sponge/Paint Brush
First, lay your flannel on a flat surface. (Tip: lay cardboard underneath just incase the paint bleeds though)

Then, use your Exact-O Knife and cut out your saying. Be sure to use a cutting bored when cutting out your saying because the knife is very sharp! (Hint: The best place to find awesome saying outlines is either on Google or Pinterest! I’ll link my blog with some of the saying posters here- https://www.zip-a-dee-do-blog.com/single-post/2017/03/23/Disney-Flannel-Saying-Templetes) Once, you’ve cut out the word gently poke out the words until you’re left with just the outline of your saying place.
Next, place it the saying on the back of your shirt wherever you’d like it to go.
Before sponging on the fabric paint. Use tape of pins to hold the outline tightly in place to avoid any movement.

While the paint is still wet be sure to slowly pull off the outline. If you wait until the paint dries the paper may get stuck on your shirt…trust me I know from experience.
If the paint dries a bit transparent carefully go over it with more paint and a small paintbrush. When it dries you’re finished!
I myself did three! One for The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Up! For my Pirates shirt I ironed on a Captain Jack Sparrow patch on the front pocket of the shirt. I've had the patch since 2003 when I bought it at Claire's when I was ten years old. I kept it all these years because I wanted to do something with it, but never had a chance until now!

If you make your own Disney Flannel please send me pictures! I’d love to see what you create!
