March Disney Subscription Unboxing

Another month, another Disney subscription unboxing! Once again I got three different boxes this month. Some boxes were better than others, but overall I’m pretty happy with what I got.

1. Mickey’s Mystery Box

This is the second time I’ve received this box, and honestly I’m extremely pleased with it! This box hasn’t disappointed me yet. I think this is probably one of the best subscription boxes out there. This is the Spoonful of Sugar box, which is the smallest box, and at only $29.95 a month you get SO much stuff for your buck. I’m so impressed, and I can’t wait to get next months box.

Inside the box: Flynn Rider tsum tsum, Pirates of the Caribbean magnet, Genie pin, Sully mug, Mickey Diamond Celebration Ears, Jungle Cruise cloth and Mickey Mouse…something.

Rating: 9/10

Final Thoughts: I’m very impressed with this box! The first thing I saw when I opened this box was the Mickey Mouse Ears. As someone who was able to actually go to Disneyland during the Diamond Celebration back in 2016 seeing these ears made me extremely happy. I’ve seen this Sully mug all over the Internet, and I think it’s awesome because it’s covered in all the different concept art for Sully. Like all the tsum tsums that came before him the Flynn Rider one is just as adorable. The artwork on the Jungle Cruise cloth is beautiful! There are so many different animals printed within it. The Pirates of the Caribbean magnet is very detailed. It’s a lot bigger than you’d expect it to be, but it’s surprising very heavy, which means it’s great quality. The Genie pin was something that I found a few days after I originally opened the box. It was a nice little surprise, like it was a never-ending box. Every time you opened it something new pops inside. The last thing in the box was a Mickey Mouse-something. I honestly have no idea what this is supposed to be. There was no indication on the tags of what it was. On the other side of Mickey’s face looked like a mini-mirror, but it was to frosted for it to actually be a Mickey Mouse mirror.

2. Mickey Monthly

I’ve been pretty impressed with this box so far! Every month there’s always something great within. I’m always anticipating what’s inside.

Inside the Box: Beauty and the Beast picture frame and Chocolatears Pretzels

Rating: 4/10

Final Thoughts: I wasn’t super impressed with this box to be honest. Maybe it’s because the first two boxes I received where really full of great things and this one had almost nothing in it. I personally am not a huge fan of Beauty and the Beast, so even though the picture fame itself is very beautiful I just feel a little meh about it. With the new live-action Beauty and the Beast just released in theaters there is a ton of BATB merchandise all over the parks, and for me I’m just not on the bandwagon. Luckily, I have some friends who love the movie, so this will be a great gift to give someone. The one thing I always love about this box is the Disney snacks inside, and the chocolate covered pretzels are a nice sweet/salty treat. It can hold me over for now until I get the next box next month.

3. Mail the Magic

This was the second time I’ve received this box, and it’s still not as impressive as I’d hope. This box is better than the last box. The weird thing about this box is that they don’t seem to have a ‘theme’ to them. Both boxes I’ve received have very Christmas items in them, which make sense from boxes in November and December, but when you get them in March it seems like items they just need to get rid of.

Inside the Box: Epcot Flower Garden passport, Christmas Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse Corn-On-The-Cob holders, and Pirated of the Caribbean dog bandana.

Rating: 6/10

Final Thoughts: The Epcot Flower Garden Passport makes me really wish I could spend the weekend in Epcot. I’ve seen some of the pictures online of different flower sculptures, and I really wish I could see them in real life. I’m a fan of both flowers and Disney, and just really want to be there! Even though the Minnie Mouse is extremely cute I don’t like that she’s wearing a Santa Clause outfit. For the month of March having a Christmas item just feels like a throw a way item. Something they got too many of during in holidays and not enough boxes it put them in. The Mickey Mouse corn-on-the-cob holders are great for summer BBQ’s. It’s a great way to add a bit of Disney magic in everyday life. It’s weird to have Christmas item and a summer item in the same box, which makes the box a little all over the place. The Pirates of the Caribbean bandanas are my favorite things in this box! My last day at Disneyland I spent a lot of time inside one of the shops debating on if I should buy them for my dog or not because Pirates is one of my favorite films. I really wanted to get them for her, but my sister convinced me she would probably hate wearing them, so I decided against it. When I opened the box and saw it was inside it I knew it was fate to have them. Obviously, I had to send a picture of it to my sister to show her the Disney gods wanted me to own this item for my dog, and then the next thing I had to do was actually put it on her. Lucky for me she only hated it for the first five minutes of wearing it then completely forgot she was wearing it. And she looks adorable with it on!
