1. Mickey’s Mystery Box

This box hasn’t disappointed me once, and this month is no exception. This box was almost entirely Pirate themed, and I am not complaining. Not only did this line up well with the release of the newest film, but also with the ride recently celebrating its 50-year anniversary.

Inside the box: Two Pirates of the Caribbean notebooks, Davy Jones’ Key keychain, and Disney Princess cell phone holder.

Rating: 10/10

Final Thoughts: Although this box had less than what some of the boxes I’ve had in the past have had I still loved everything in it. The Pirates of the Caribbean notebooks are awesome! They look like posters promoting the attractions at the parks. The detail isn’t contained to just the outside of the notebook, but also the inside as well. The pages are tinted a bit yellow and are weathered as if they were extremely old, and have aged over time. Lately, Disney has been putting out all kinds of different notebooks (like the VHS series which I want so bad!), and because I write all the time they will really come in handy. The keychain looks almost exactly like Davy Jones’ key he uses to lock the treasure chest, which holds his heart. The key plays an important role in the second and third films. Since I’m a huge Pirates fan being able to carry this keychain with me just lets me have a bit of Disney magic every time I get in my car. The last thing inside the box is the Disney Princess phone case/holder. The holder has Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, and Belle on it. It’s a softer case with a belt clip and an insert in the back for your headphone to fit through. The nice thing about this case is that it’s big enough to fit both Apple and Android phones. With it being a holder it’s not limited to just one style of phone, so anyone can have it for whatever phone they have. I’m excited to see what I get next month, especially because I up-ed the size of the box I will be receiving!

2. Mickey Monthly

Although, I had a couple of rough months with this box it’s slowly starting to get back to the boxes I received and loved the first few months. I think now that the Beauty and the Beast hype has died down a little bit I won’t just be receiving only BatB themed items.

Inside the Box: Jim Shore Classic Mickey figure, Star Wars Chewie Candy (Blue Raspberry Gummies), Patriotic Mickey Rice Krispy

Rating: 8/10

Final Thoughts: I loved the items in this box. It reminded me a lot of the very first box I received from this company back in January. My favorite thing in the box was obviously the Jim Shore Classic Mickey Figure. I love this figurine so much. The detail on him is simple and subtle, but it’s still very fun at the same time. He looks very similar to the glass Minnie Mouse figure by Romero Britto I received in my very first box back in January. Instead, of being glass like Minnie, Mickey is a larger woodcarving, and doesn’t have as bold of colors or as abstract of patterns on it. My favorite flavor of candy is blue raspberry so having a whole bag of nothing but blue raspberry gummies is awesome. Although, I’m not a Star Wars fan these snacks are delicious regardless. The bag itself is pretty big, so I will be able to snack on those for a while. Finally, the last thing in the box is a red, white and blue frosted Mickey Rice Krispy treat. At this point I haven’t eaten it yet just because I’m too busy snacking on those Chewie Gummies, but I’m hoping this one is better than the last one I had a few months ago. I think it’s just the plain ones I’m not a fan of because they taste stale and nothing like homemade rice crispy treats (which I would have rather had). But, I did have M&Ms covered on a few months back that I liked a whole lot more because it wasn’t just plain and boring. This one is covered in frosting and sprinkles, so fingers crossed it’s better.
